It’s a universally acknowledged truth that good boys and girls should never, not for one minute or one second, suffer in any way. But unfortunately, winter and the need to answer nature’s call mean that sometimes, our beloved pets must venture outside into the elements.

A pit bull named King recently experienced snow for the first time, and to say he wasn’t a fan would be an understatement. Needing to take King outside to use the bathroom, his owner Ike accompanied him downstairs and opened the front door of their building, only for King to run outside and immediately do a U-turn, rushing back indoors where it’s warm and there isn’t several inches of snow on the ground, freezing his poor little paws.

After deciding the snow wasn’t for him, King ran back up the stairs to his apartment in an effort to get as far away from the snow as possible. King continued to run around indoors as his owner tried to encourage him to go back outside and do his business, but King declined, as is his right.

Commenters instantly fell in love with King, with one joking, “King said, ‘I ain’t no husky’ ,” and someone else adding, “Little man’s berries hit the snow .” Hopefully not!

All the while, commenters were full of helpful suggestions, including buying King a coat and boots, or getting someone else to front the cash, both of which are equally sensible suggestions and ones that Ike should definitely implement before attempting to take King outside in the snow again anytime soon.
